These books were my very first EH books and damned if I was not hooked! I just loved how well the storytelling was put together. The blurb may make you feel a tad apprehensive but then I was glad to have decided having a go at this gem of a series because then I wouldn't have met Dayton and Aaron.
It was a joy reading this love story. I read romance novels day in and day out and it's always a great feeling to read something that has something different--whether it be the unusual twist or the not-so-usual character stereotype. One of my more favorite plots is when characters have a history together well before the main story begins. It's almost always a win and this story definitely didn't disappoint in that department.
Without giving away anything, this series got my thumbs-up in so many things. It may not be perfect but it was great enough for me to keep on reading EH because, man, that writing is great. One thing is for sure, the next time I decide to read EH, there will be no more apprehensions after reading the blurb. Heck, forget the blurb. Let's just move on to the reading part already.

His Call by Emma Hart
22,000 words.
Ten scenes.
Seven you thought you knew.
Three you never did.
In this CALL series novella, get inside Aaron Stone's head for the very first time. Experience some of your favourite scenes from LATE CALL and FINAL CALL from his point of view and enjoy three brand new scenes you always wondered about...
If you have already read the first two books in this series, this is a definite add-on must-read. Because what else could be better than a male POV, right? I guess a hot male POV would top that though. Lucky for myself this was that!
Nevertheless, this was an enjoyable novella that featured some behind-the-scenes of how things really were from Aaron's POV ranging from his surprise second meeting with Dayton after their years apart up to the time when he had to do just about anything to win her back and finally keeping her in his life permanently. This was after his secrets started coming out of the woodwork.
And what can I say? The sexy is just different when it comes from a male POV. All in all, this novella showcased different perspectives on the highlight scenes in the main two books of the series. This is the perfect cake-topper cherry. Pun-intended as Aaron is forever yum.
Final verdict: 8/10. Great read.

Final Call by Emma Hart
We crashed and burned like a falling plane. Hard and fast with an inevitable explosion. Another few weeks together changed my life the way the first did. At twenty-four, I became naïve again. I became a dreamer again. A believer. And walking away hurts just as much as it did seven years ago.
But over doesn’t have to mean over-at least in Aaron Stone’s mind. His pursuit is relentless, his determination unwavering. He’ll go to any lengths to keep me and prove that I belong to him. Unfortunately, love isn’t easy, and whether or not I forgive him is irrelevant to his past catching up with us. Once again, our relationship is haunted by a secret, one that could destroy everything, and the secret is born from the need to protect the other…
But the tables have turned, because the secret is mine.
Ahh, I love this series. This was a series that was a total (hot!) combination of romance, drama, sexy, and fun. This book started off a few weeks after the end of the first book, when Aaron was finally (finally!) a divorced man. (What? What? if you didn't need to know that yet, go read the first book. For chrissakes.)
Majority of the book focused on Aron and Dayton trying to fix their relationship and finally making a go for it. I loved how, despite the differences in their status in life, Dayton still managed to keep some sort of upper hand in many facets in their relationship.
Aaron's ex-wife, meanwhile, provided entertainment conflict-wise. All those stuff about women scorned and what have you. I hate how some people (because this happens in reality, too, and not just in fiction) just couldn't seem to understand when they aren't wanted anymore that they would go to the extent of destroying other people's lives. But it made for good reading here, at least.
This was another win for EH because once again, second-chance books are high in my books and she did an awesome, engaging writing here. Hell, yeah. And then she gave us Tyler--he makes me all so giddy for the spin-off series from this one. He's also British, ladies! Ooooooh. Let's go!!!
Final verdict: 9/10. Great read.

Late Call by Emma Hart
She’s a high class call girl. He’s taking over his father’s business.
Seven years ago, they fell in love in Paris.
They walked away at the end of the summer, never imagining they’d meet again.
Now he’s her client.
We fell in love the way you jump from a cliff. Hard and fast with a reckless sense of abandon. The six weeks we spent together changed my life, but at seventeen, I was naive. I was a dreamer. A believer.
Now I’m twenty-four and cynical. I don’t believe in love. There’s no place for such emotions as a high class escort. The only things I’m allowed to feel are physical – and that’s why it’s so damn hard when the client of a last minute job turns out to be the man I left in France seven years ago. When he buys me for six weeks at triple my rate, my agent makes it clear I have no choice but to take the job despite our previous relationship. And my heart makes it very clear I have to stay firmly on top of the cliff this time.
Because for six weeks, I once again belong to Aaron Stone.
Being my first EH read, I didn't have too much expectations regarding this book except that the blurb intrigued me like no other. And I was glad that I did pick this up because woah! What an awesome, awesome read.
I started out a bit apprehensive because like the lesser mortal that I am, I wasn't too fond of the call girl situation. I did judge Dayton but the fact tht she had a previous history with Aaron helped lessened my prejudices somehow.
The best thing about this book was the writing though. It was fast, witty, and downright engaging. Too engaging as I read this book in one night (and woke up the following day with swollen eyes from all the crying). Pull out a chair, everyone, and make way for my newest favourite author.
And that cliffhanger ending though. Like, woah! I didn't see that coming. Good thing I have the second book all saved for another loved-up reading session with Day and Aaron. Otherwise, I wouldn't have survived the waiting. Not even to post this review.
Final verdict: 9/10. Great read.
