Finally... Grace sees me in a different light. The banter is flirty, the sex is fun, and the future looks fabulous.I just hope she feels the same way when she finds out what I did.


Ahhh, this series just keeps getting better. For me, it started out to be a love story bordering on cute-sy, for lack of a better word. Because why wouldn't I expect that with the social  media theme plus the Hollywood heartthrob hero thrown into the mix?

But then this story and its characters take on more depth by the part just to prove that the entire story was anything but cute-sy. This part alone in the series proved that there is more to the story than a simple romance between two people. The surprises just keep on coming by the page and I loved it. 

This novella saw a more serious relationship between Grace and Vaughn (I told you--twist, twists, twists) and story took on a darker turn (that I didn't see coming). The next one should be very interesting.


Final verdict: 8/10. Great read.

So this is the part in the serial when things start to get serious. If the first two books were full of sexy fun, this novella screamed complications.

Vaughn Asher, being the Hollywood heartthrob he was, was hit with the scandal that he was going to be a father--with a fomer 'girlfriend.' This added more tension to the already-complicated almost-relationship that he had with Grace. But I loved how Graced continued to live her life despite everything that she was having (or not) with Vaughn. So she continued to be the busy career woman that she was. And then her work brought her to Las Vegas...where things get more complicated that they already were. Lemme just say that this had Hangover written all over it. Love, love, love.

With the new angles that were being introduced into the story, this story had now become bigger than just being about Asher and Grace. It was like it was finally taking on a life of its own. It was a good surprise. But most of all, we were given two cliffhangers to deal with at the end of this read. Because apparently one wasn't enough.

Shiznit, what did Vaughn do now?! Gimme part 4 now, please!

Final verdict: 7/10. Good read.

This story is growing on me by the volume. I don't know why but the appeal of Grace and Vaughn being together just gets me. Everytime. Probably because I am such a fangirl myself (although never to Grace's extent) so I would totally understand the dilemma Grace was going through--to give in or not to the man she had been crushing on for years. I'm sure my head will be spinning, too, were I in her shoes.

Despite this read being all hot and sexy, I do find some points to be funny and I love how things are unraveling in the story. I loved that Vaughn turned out to be an adoptive father. This was a total surpise; I didn't see it coming at all. I sense that he was really trying to be his badass self but it was easy to tell that he was beginning to change so that he could continue to keep Grace in his life. I am just a little bothered by his stalker-ish behavior though...which he called security. Riiight. Damn, alpha males!

After just the second part in this series, I'm totally sucked into the story. I cannot wait how this love story will pan out.


Final verdict: 8/10. Good read.

The blurb intrigued me enough to make me pick up this book. Not to mention that the premise was a tad interesting.

This is my first Inara Scott book and although I have not totally warmed up to her style yet, I'm liking it enough and already planning on looking for the rest of her stuff. Okay, maybe it wasn't so much as warming up to IS's style of writing as much warming up to Ryker's character. I really wanted to kick his ass. No, really. And because IS really put together a great narrative, POV-wise.

So, yes, I'd say that my problem was really with Ryker. And surprisingly enough, his story also gripped me the strongest. I'm easy when it comes to family angles and it wasn't any different in this book. There. Were. Tears.

The secondary characters in this book were also great to read. And oh, there was a second love story in the story, too. Although I thought that the end was a bit rushed (a.k.a. Alix should have made Ryker sweat), the epilogue sort of made up for it.


Final verdict: 7/10. Okay read.

Come Away With Me by Kristen Proby

I have skimmed this series and I have been itching to get on with seriously reading them book by book so that I can start reviewing them. I was a bit apprehensive to start with this first book since I just finished another book with a Hollywood heartthrob for a hero. But I'm now glad that I did because there's no need to compare both.

Luke Williams was a former Hollywood heartthrob but remained in the movie industry as a producer. He met Natalie Conner, a photographer, the first time when he thought she was taking photos of him. Although I have to say that met is too mild a word to describe what happened when they first crossed paths.

I loved the romance in this book. I get giddy just thinking about it. Okay, I have to admit that I'm big on terms of endearments. I don't know why that is because I think they are sooo cheesy in real life but on paper, baby? Wow! Luke and Nat's whirlwind romance is the stuff of modern fairy tales. The climax was probably a bit predictable in this type of premise but that wasn't too much of a big deal for me because the entire book is just too nom.

Some other details I liked best about this book: there was lot of family in it--both Luke's and Nat's. The fact that this is the first book in the series, and if I haven't skimmed through the next few books, I would be kicking to read the rest of the books. Having been introduced to the rest of the characters that this series would have, I know it is  going to be crazy fun. Oooh, and the fog-up-the-glasses steamy sex. Hmmm, no complaints from this camp. And that cover...love, love, love!

This was the best way to kick off a series. I'm hooked...but will have to go through each book slowly since patience is not one of my virtues and I hate having to wait for the next books.


Final verdict: 9/10. Great must read, must have.

And the more she rejects him, the more he begins to realize she may just be his perfect match.


In the time when we are swamped with all these steamy hot reads, it's so refreshing to find (and enjoy!) a good ole romance without all those, uhm, distractions.

I love this book. I love the characters. You can discount the fact that I was imagining Michael (F)assbender as the lead guy in it since the first chapter. Nope, it didn't play a factor at all. *snickers*

I loved Taylor Donovan because tough-on-the outside, soft-on-the-inside ladies will always be a hit for me. I really enjoyed reading when, even if she tried her very best to show that she was unaffected by Jason Andrews, deep inside she was still a woman who wanted. Full stop. But who wouldn't be not affected by the Sexiest Man Alive, right? Most of all, I loved how she had an identity separate that of Jason and I just knew that she would still have one after the story ended, after she became Mrs Jason Andrews.

And then there was Jason Andrews. Despite the fact that he was named the Sexiest Man Alive, my most favorite parts in the book were when he really showed his vulnerability as man falling in love for the first time. We all know how bigger-than-life Hollywood personalities can get and it was lovely to read these parts when Taylor started to catch him offguard with her reactions to him (despite him using his charms like the usual) and when he started feeling jealous. Ahh, men. Aren't they adorable when they do that?

Ahh, the only thing I don't like about this book? It wasn't part of a series. Honestly, I would've loved to read about Jeremy's story. Jeremy, by the way, was Jason's bestfriend all the way from college before they both came to Hollywood. The lady secondary characters were great, too. I adored Linda, Taylor's secretary! I'll miss them.


Final verdict: 8/10. Must read, must have.
