Series Recommendation #14: Reasonable Doubt by Whitney Gracia Williams

When I started this series, I actually thought it to be another sexy series of reads with nothing else but the sexy in it. I haven't read WGW before this so you have to forgive me for that initial bias.

And boy, was I wrong. Many times over, in fact. The first part in this novella serial may have started off with a lot of the sexy that I had expected but by the time I got to the third part, that was was the furthest impression I had about the series.

I loved how the story truly evolved through the entire series. Oh, what a joy to read! I was just a bit disappointed that the serial stopped at the third part because I was actually ready for more Aubrey and Andrew. But I guess you know all about stopping while the going is still good.

Reasonable Doubt Volume 3 by Whitney Gracia Williams

I hate him...

I hate that I fell in love with him, I hate that he didn’t love me back, and I hate the fact that I just made a life-altering decision just so I could get the hell away from him.

He’d always said that he was unchangeable, heartless, and cold…

I really should’ve believed him...

So we have come to the conclusion of this serial. I actually finished this a while back but I have been a lazybutt this month and only got to to posting this review.

This was one of those stories that just kept on surprising its readers. Well, I knew there were some things that were going to be really big secrets that were going to be revealed based on the teasers from the first two parts. But what the heck, I didn't expect THIS!

But I think my most favorite part was when Audrey really went for her dream of becoming a ballerina and, despite making that decision, she was still able to salvage her fledgling relationship with her parents. A heroine that eventually grows a spine always gets two thumbs up from me.

I couldn't actually believe when I learned that this is going to be the last installment in this series because hello! I need more Liam and Audrey. I want more of their happy ever after. Don't get me wrong, there's a proper conclusion to their story but I'm selfish like that when I bond with these characters.

Final verdict: 9/10. Great read.

Reasonable Doubt Volume 2 by Whitney Gracia Williams

She lied to me...
She betrayed the one rule that I'm most adamant about: Honesty. Complete and utter fucking honesty.
I really wish she was someone else—someone who didn't have the ability to make me feel, someone I could easily discard like the hundreds of women before her.
She isn't.
I'm drawn to her like I've never been drawn to a woman before—completely captivated by the very sight of her. But unfortunately, with my past slowly re-surfacing for all of the world to see, I'll have to find a way to let her go.
She can never be mine.

I have always told myself not to start a book series if it's not fully complete because the waiting is gonna be one heck of a pain in the neck. But I would rather have that than miss this series because the first part was just too intriguing. Okaaay...and too sexy to pass up on and wait for the entire series to finish.

While Andrew wasn't an instant from the start of this series, he certainly grew on me. So imagine my dismay at the end of the first part of this serial. Ugh! But he is starting to redeem himself in my books (no pun intended) in this second installment. He just does. There's nothing like a seemingly untouchable male lead starting to show cracks and starts to crumble. I feel like doing a fist pump and doing a hell yeah! And I still adore Aubrey. I love her spunk and I'm rooting for her to bring Andrew to his knees.

I loved how WGW started to unravel the story of Andrew's life. I say it ever gets boring in these pages.  Bring on Volume 3 please!

Final verdict: 8/10. Great read.

Reasonable Doubt by Whitney Gracia Williams

My cock has an appetite.

A huge and very particular appetite: Blonde, curvy, and preferably not a fucking liar...(Although, that's a story for another day.)

As a high profile lawyer, I don't have time to waste on relationships, so I fulfill my needs by anonymously chatting and sleeping with women I meet online.

My rules are simple: One dinner. One night. No repeats.

This is only casual sex. Nothing more. Nothing less.

At least it was , until "Alyssa"...

She was supposed to be a 27 year old lawyer, a book hoarder, and completely unattractive. She was supposed to be someone I shared law advice with late at night, someone I could trust with details of my weekly escapades.

But then she came into my firm for an interview--a college-intern interview, and everything fucking changed...

I am the kind of idiot who did not read anything about this before I started reading it. I. Was. That. Excited. So I started reading it only to realize it was a serial instead of the full-length novel that I expected to read in go.

To make matters worse, I totally loved this! I personally want to jump Andrew's bones. The man was hot and that mouth--phew! That dirty-taking mouth of his just got me going, I tell you. *fans self*

This was a fast-paced, funny, and steamy hot read. I loved Andrew and Alyssa, er, Aubrey's chemistry and the fact that they couldn't stop themselves from having the other. I actually liked that Aubrey wanted to just being friends with the 'mentor' she had met online. But I liked how Andrew just could help himself from seducing her. Those text message exchanges! *swoon* Thoreau me please, thank you.

I cannot wait for the second part in this serial to come out. I want more unf! Hurry, hurry!!!

Final verdict: 9/10. Great read.
