123, 5, 4

Borrowed from Dee.

1. Grab the nearest book.

2. Open to page 123.

3. Find the fifth sentence.

4. Post the text of the next four sentences on your blog along with these instructions.

5. Don't you dare dig around for that "cool" or "intellectual" book on your shelves. Just pick up whatever is closest. (I'm in the office so I really couldn't look for the cool and intellectual books if I wanted. Hahaha! Good thing I have a book with me though.)

Can you guess my book?

Aight, here goes...

He had spent too many weeks flat on his back, totally helpless and blind, unable even to feed himself. Now he had his mobility back, and in an unknown number of minutes he'd know if his sight had been restored. The doctor was certain of the surgery's success, but until the bandages were off and he could actually see, Steve wouldn't let himself believe it. It was the waiting and the lack of certainty that ate at him.

I've been reading all of these and I haven't been able to guess a single one of them! Even if I've read the book, I haven't been able to figure it out. Don't know this one either :(

I know. Hahaha! It's kinda frustrating not being able to guess what the book is but it's fun to at least figure out what it is anyway.

Is this Cry No More? I haven't read that yet, but doesn't the guy have one eye or something? LOL

Ooh, Steve, there was a Steve in Cry No More...is that the one?

Nope, it isn't Cry No More. One eye? Hmm, I think one of the villains in that book had only one eye (or something) but his name wasn't Steve. LOL!

Last clue: this isn't exactly one of LH's newer works.
