Final Call by Emma Hart

We crashed and burned like a falling plane. Hard and fast with an inevitable explosion. Another few weeks together changed my life the way the first did. At twenty-four, I became naïve again. I became a dreamer again. A believer. And walking away hurts just as much as it did seven years ago.

But over doesn’t have to mean over-at least in Aaron Stone’s mind. His pursuit is relentless, his determination unwavering. He’ll go to any lengths to keep me and prove that I belong to him. Unfortunately, love isn’t easy, and whether or not I forgive him is irrelevant to his past catching up with us. Once again, our relationship is haunted by a secret, one that could destroy everything, and the secret is born from the need to protect the other…

But the tables have turned, because the secret is mine.

Ahh, I love this series. This was a series that was a total (hot!) combination of romance, drama, sexy, and fun. This book started off a few weeks after the end of the first book, when Aaron was finally (finally!) a divorced man. (What? What? if you didn't need to know that yet, go read the first book. For chrissakes.)

Majority of the book focused on Aron and Dayton trying to fix their relationship and finally making a go for it. I loved how, despite the differences in their status in life, Dayton still managed to keep some sort of upper hand in many facets in their relationship.

Aaron's ex-wife, meanwhile, provided entertainment conflict-wise. All those stuff about women scorned and what have you. I hate how some people (because this happens in reality, too, and not just in fiction) just couldn't seem to understand when they aren't wanted anymore that they would go to the extent of destroying other people's lives. But it made for good reading here, at least.

This was another win for EH because once again, second-chance books are high in my books and she did an awesome, engaging writing here. Hell, yeah. And then she gave us Tyler--he makes me all so giddy for the spin-off series from this one. He's also British, ladies! Ooooooh. Let's go!!!

Final verdict: 9/10. Great read.
