One More Night by Lauren Blakely

Your presence is requested for another installment in the tale of Julia and Clay, two red-hot lovers. Come inside their world of passion and suspense once more for a deliciously erotic and heart-poundingly dangerous story of pearls, handcuffs, thieves, mobsters, poker and pleasure in the city of sin...

Happy endings don't come easily. They're hard-won and Clay Nichols is going to have to keep earning his...Now living together in New York with her debt safely paid off, sexy bartender Julia Bell and hot-as-hell entertainment lawyer Clay thought their future was clear sailing.

But life doesn't work that way and the fiery lovers run into a slew of new challenges as Clay tries to put a ring on it. Trouble looms in every corner-trouble from clients, trouble with timing, and, most of all, trouble from her past returns on their trip to Vegas. A dangerous man who knows much more about Julia than he should surfaces in Sin City where they're supposed to be enjoying a weekend getaway. Following her in the casino, watching her every move at the pool, targeting her as she plays poker.

Too bad Clay is called away repeatedly, leaving Julia alone in a sprawling hotel full of dark corners, back rooms, and unsavory characters. Can Clay save her from danger one more time, and then finally get down on one knee? Or will he be too late for the woman he adores?

What, what, what?! Hahaha! Okay, I didn't really expect there to be another book on Clay and Julia. Obviously, I already recommended the series with just the first three parts in it.

But I'm glad that we get to have this third book. I would never complain. Point to me the person who has had enough of Clay Nichols because I certainly haven't. Yet. Probably never.

This was a fun read. With Clay and Julia finally together, it was great reading about them as they go on one of their adventures. Or, more like, misadventures. What's a love story without a touch of mystery in it? I also got to meet Clay's brother, Brent, who helped in adding a bit of humour here and there. Now, raise a hand if you want a story for this funny stud. I know, right?

This book was a closer look at Clay's more romantic side. And it was good to still be surprised by some of the twists in the story. Not taking anything for granted is something I should have learned a long time ago. A HEA is not always a guarantee despite the evidence to it happening...anything can happen between now and forever, even between now and dinnertime

This may be their last book but I'm pretty sure we haven't seen the last of Clay and Julia. We already know of one spin-off from this series but I smell that in plural. I'm already looking forward to them.

PS That cover is all kinds of pretty and sexy, yeah?

Final verdict: 8/10. Great read.
