Review: The Rebel Queen

I was so prepared to fall in love with this book. I enjoyed the first part of the duet so much that this book had great expectations tattooed all over it.

Unfortunately, all my excitement wasn't really met. Despite it being the second book already, I still couldn't find myself getting connected with the characters even to the point of finding them a bit stilted. I just couldn't get into the story, making this a bit of a slow read.

This doesn't mean I've given up on JEM. This duet was just the first books of hers I've read and despite everything, I still want to read her other stuff.
